INgene® q Brucella Typing is a real-time PCR kit for the detection and typing of B. melitensis, B. abortus, B. suis and B. ovis DNA in samples from Swine, Cattle, Small ruminants, Equine. This assay is optimized for any biological sample, liquid or colony culture, blood, sera, lymph node and milk being enriched previously in culture. The kit consists on a multiplex real-time PCR in one-well format, amplifying several regions of the Brucella genome, which differ according to species, using the three channels FAM, HEX/VIC and Texas Red. In addition, a passive reference fluorochrome (ROX) is supplied, allowing the normalisation of the signal avoiding possible quantification errors deriving from pipetting differences.
